Team Vision & Community Contributions:

Our team aims to enhance the governance structure of SuiNS by actively engaging with the community, ensuring the protocol’s integrity, and fostering an environment of growth and security. Here’s what we plan to deliver:

  • Proposal Review: We will meticulously review governance proposals to ensure they align with community values and long-term visions before they go to a vote. This includes checking for feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with SuiNS’s core principles.

  • Dispute Resolution: We propose to act as an effective appeals body by providing a fair and transparent mechanism for resolving disputes or grievances related to governance decisions. This will ensure community trust and protocol stability.

  • Emergency Powers: For the first two years, we will be prepared to act swiftly to maintain protocol stability during unforeseen critical situations. This will always be done with the community’s best interest in mind.

  • Voting Rules Adjustment: Within the first three months, we will assess and potentially adjust voting rules to better reflect community needs and enhance participation.

  • Community Engagement: Organize monthly collaborative AMAs / X spaces and public discussions with other ecosystem projects to keep the community informed and engaged. This will promote community inclusion, transparency, and accountability.

Proposed Utilities:

  • Partnerships: We will prioritize AEON partnerships with rising and well-established ecosystem projects. We believe this will bring more value and more community recognition.

  • Burning: The claim for the $NS airdrop will be closed, and the remaining tokens will be burned. We are proposing this as a team because we believe 6+ months is enough time for the community to claim the airdrop.

  • Staking: Staking with APY depending on the duration of staking will be introduced. This will give the NS token more strength and will give the community members an avenue to earn more rewards.

  • Merchandise Boosts: Discounts for AEON / 3-digit name owners / 20+ name owners will be introduced for purchases on domain services and other SuiNS products.

  • KYC & Profile Metadata Integration: With SuiNS being regarded as the identity layer of Sui Network, we believe having a KYC solution would be a very good use case. This could come in handy for legally compliant projects that are willing to build on the Sui Network.

Compensation & Role Breakdown:

  • Welp (Team Leader): $1,000/month - Leads the council, oversees all activities, and ensures alignment with community goals. Welp plans to donate his monthly compensation to the homeless as he plans to build a charity system with the “Charity.sui” domain he owns. (This is a personal decision that has been made known to the team beforehand).

  • Cleverman Alex: $1,000/month - Specializes in proposal review with a focus on technical viability and integration.

  • Yuppi: $1,000/month - Handles community outreach, dispute mediation, and emergency response coordination.

  • Zibah: $1,000/month - Focuses on educational content, community education, and managing the adjustment of voting rules.

:pushpin: We know how demanding these roles are, therefore the proposed compensation reflects our commitment to providing dedicated, full-time attention to SuiNS governance.

Selection Rationale:

  • Welp: As the team leader, he brings experience in project management and has been an active member of the SuiNS community since its inception. His selection will ensure leadership with a deep understanding of community dynamics and governance needs.

  • Cleverman Alex: Chosen for his profound technical knowledge and previous contributions to SuiNS discussions on X and in on Telegram. He used to handle the AEON telegram group, and his experience will be used to enhance the technical rigour of our proposal reviews.

  • Yuppi: We selected Yuppi for his excellent people skills, mediation experience, and his active participation in community events. Yuppi leads the Sui community in Turkey :tr:, and he is also a Sui ambassador. His experience in handling disputes and leading communities plays a vital role in his selection as a team member.

  • Zibah: With a background in community education and content creation, Zibah has been part of the community since early 2024. Zibah is part of the Sui Nigeria team :nigeria:, and he is also a Sui Ambassador. His enthusiasm for explaining complex blockchain concepts in simple terms will be vital for our educational initiatives.

DAO Engagement & Commitment:

  • Welp: Active since SuiNS launch, Welp boasts of 50 NS names, 50 Subdomains, Day 1 activated, and 8 AEONs. Welp also manages the X account of AEON alongside Yuppi as an admin.

  • Cleverman Alex: Joined shortly after launch, Alex has seven (7) 3-Digits domains, 6 AEOns, and over 250 SuiNS domains. He is known for technical discussions and proposals.

  • Yuppi: Yuppi has been active in SuiNS for over a year. He holds six (6) NS names, three (3) 3-digit domains, 13 AEONs, and is highly active in community events and on X.

  • Zibah: Engaged since early 2024, owns at least 1 NS name, and frequently contributes to the Sui community through educational videos and informative threads.

Conclusion:

All team members are well-experienced and are committed to advancing SuiNS through our dedicated governance efforts. To foster inclusion, we tried to make sure that individuals from different geographical locations were selected; as we want voices from different communities to be heard when we get chosen by the community to represent them. We look forward to community approval via vote, as we ensure we serve with transparency, dedication, and in the best interest of all SuiNS users.

My favorite Team is 2… My bro is there @Yuppi

My people, you guys are doing well

Hi,

You disclose that you hold domains and AEOns, but how much NS do you hold?
Doesn’t the council represent the NS holders?
If your a customer of SuiNS with 200 SuiNS names, isn’t it in your benefit to keep the recurring prices low?
As a AEOns holder aren’t you competing with NS holders for benefits?

Where is Welp and Cleverman from?

Thanks for sharing your view on this.
