Applying for a 1-2 character name yourself is not a good option. It is recommended to retain it, or outstanding ecological project parties apply for it on their own, and the community will vote to decide whether to issue one-year use rights. When it expires, the community votes whether the project party can renew the use rights for two years. When it expires, the community votes whether the project party can renew the use rights for three years, and so on.

I would say for me total winners would be 4,5,6,7,8

Somehow first three ideas maybe would be more beneficial for the companies… Though I do like the implementation for Walrus a lot.

last 5 I see big reasoning for day-to-day users.

I guess we shall find some perfect balance in-between here so that everybody would be happy with the solutions.

All of the above would tremendously improve UX especially for future web3 Socialfi and gamefi on Sui. Having this kind of tools would completely change the tech ground we are currently used to see on-chain.

The 1-2D names would help bring more flexibility to domains names, but would devaluation our current 1k club names (the first culture domain on Sui) as well as pricing would be a bit controversial.

The referral system would be great for bringing on more users, however this could just bring more fake wallets, as this industry is still a massive PVP battleground and people like to exploit systems for their incentives
