Developers & Innovators, Let’s Build Something Awesome

Hey everyone!

We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas. If you’re a developer or someone with valuable insights, check out these potential projects and share your feedback in the comments. Or even better, put together a proposal and help us make these ideas a reality!

Potential Projects:

  1. Delegated Staking When a user delegates their tokens, the chosen community member will have the power to participate in votes on behalf of all their delegators, while the delegated tokens are simultaneously being staked.

  2. Enhanced Name Lookup Develop a user-friendly interface where people can:

  • Search for names
  • See ownership information
  • Check expiration dates
  1. 1st party auction and cold-bid service (integration with Notifi - real time alerts)

These are just a few ideas to get the ball rolling. If you have cool ideas, please reach out! (0xd34th on twitter and discord).

What I really wish for is to get email notifications when my names are about to expire or when names on my “wishlist” are nearing expiration.

(Or maybe I could create this myself, right? That second point would make for an interesting proposal)

Delegated staking needs to be a thing for sure. Would also help steer the development of game narratives, stories, and more by the gamers.
Great idea.

about Delegated Staking:

→ introduce a voting mechanism where small delegators still have an influential voice, either by weighting their votes or allowing them to form coalitions with other small delegators

→ create periodic notifications for delegators to review how their representative is voting, and give them the option to “re-delegate” their tokens if they feel the representative is not acting in their best interests.

Enchanced Name Lookup is not a good idea that much I think, I was going to explain but I realized it will be very long reply and I gave up

about 1st party auction and cold-bid service (integration with Notifi - real time alerts):

→ you can implement an auditable smart contract that ensures all bids are recorded in a verifiable way, even if they aren’t visible until the auction closes. by allowing participants to audit the contract’s history after the auction ends, transparency can be maintained without revealing bids prematurely

→ offer customizable notification preferences where users can choose what kind of alerts they want to receive (e.g., only when they are outbid, when the auction is ending, etc.). also, allow users to set a “quiet period” for the auction, where they can pause notifications if they don’t want constant updates.

by the way, it is impossible to catch stashed drops man, I even opened notifications but there is always someone who have better computer and faster internet

Allocate a portion of funds for community-driven initiatives, like hosting meetups, creating tutorials, or launching local events to spread awareness about SuiNS

Profile pictures for the names with the name underneath automatically would be good and a chat function between the names would be good. I would want to send texts to names like an email

How about, when one’s SuiNS is about to expire, a notification pops up on top of the sui wallet, it will be much easier to recognize and interact with.

. First we need a notification system for expiring domain
. Another thing I believe we need to fasttrack the staking and reward system to get more user in the dao
. Usage of Ns for purchasing domain shd also be included in the next vote I tink

Enhance SuiNS names with user-customizable profiles. Let users link their social accounts, wallet details, or even short bios to their names

Allow users to lock names for 1 year+ for rewards or bonus features… Long term love for suins

I suggest we get a better marketplace that’ll make searching and trading of names easier

Delegated voting would be a very important inclusion

What if, when someone wants a SUINS that you already own, they could make you an offer to buy it through the SUINS network?

Buyback and burn ns coins with some of suins revenue

Nice sir! An action system with notification on Discord or Email would be nice!

Delegation also but with some system to encourage communities participate in the voting because in other projects there are delegators which only participate at the begining but after some proposals they don’t vote

I don’t know if each of our domain names can become a website of our own, like “.com”, “.xyz”, “.cn”, etc. Now there are many websites that sell self-built domain names, do we have this feature? If so, I have the following suggestions: 1. Expiration notice service, like the friend’s reply above, it’s best to have an expiration reminder service in the sui wallet. 2. Use NS renewal or purchase, which has the advantage of making NS a valuable currency. 3. Provide detailed tutorials for using NS domain names to build websites, so that more people can use websites with the “.sui” suffix, indirectly promoting SUI, simplifying the deployment process, and making it easy for everyone to set up their own website domain. 4. You can turn NS domain names and tokens into a staking mining type to obtain SUI. The benefit of this is that users can get other benefits while obtaining domain names.

The combination of NS and SUI, promoting NS is equivalent to promoting SUI, bringing more new users to the SUI chain to use it.

What can NS and SUI gain? If this is done, NS can gain a large user group that likes to build their own websites, and SUI can gain a large number of new users. After new users enter, they can renew or purchase (such as using NS renewal, SUI purchase, or SUI renewal, NS purchase) without using the same token for purchase and renewal.

Make SUI and NS more liquid, then the team’s profits will increase, and this cycle is benign.

Don’t worry about the use of SUI, NS is just one project on the SUI chain, and there are many other projects that need to use SUI, so I think the focus should be on NS and the appropriate use of SUI.

For this to really work, it’s important to allow people to pay to lock the names for an extended period in advance i.e. own the name for several years.

Or create an autodebit feature, where you either:
i. use direct debit / credit card and pay in fiat annually (given Sui’s goal for mass adoption and easy onboarding).
ii. stake a certain amount of Sui or NS in advance, which can acrue yield and is debited annually to the fee (or an NS Sui LST, with zero yield, so that the unreceives yield automatically pays to extend maturity daily for every day you own it).
iii. link it to my wallet, so it pops up to sign a transaction to extend the current maturity on a quarterly or monthly basis (this way you never get close to expiry before you extend).

Additionally, introduce the ability to communicate with other NS names or to make social posts via an in wallet App, and the username / handle for the chat is your NS name etc… (although it would probably need to exclude having to sign a transaction and pay gas fees for sending messages or posting content, instead only sign transactions and pay fees for minting assets, transfering or exchange assets etc…)
