SuiNS council hiring process and criteria

After SuiNS announcement, writing this to express some of my thoughts and I would love to find out your thoughts, we could have a productive discussion about this topic.

From my point of view for the council’s member choice must be set some tough eligibility criteria, such as:
-Members must be active and long time SuiNS community members
-Canditates must have bought Suins for example at least for 150$
-Have participated at forum’s discussions at least 2-3 times before the hiring announcement
-Have created at list a topic before the hiring announcement
-Their Sui wallet has more than for example 50K txs
-They mustn’t be ambassadors or team’s members in other projects, in this way council members will be focus on SuiNS.
-Avoid people who are paid from many projects and are the same in the whole SUI eco. People is bored with them. With all these criteria we will secure the SuiNS good and we don’t have to pay another ambassador without contribution.

The process must be clear and fair for all the candidates, council duration must be known.

The truth is that, after read the hiring announcement I thought another one KOLs and ambassadors job without benefits for SuiNS community, I wish I have wrong.

Regardless that I applied for the position because I believe in the project and I love to contribute, discuss and find solution for a better future of the SuiNS community.
That’s why I am active since 2022, I have all the roles, hold names and I always be here at forum expressing my ideas. Am I missing something, please share your thoughts.

No offence to someone, be kind, are just my thoughts.

@Death it would be great to hear your thoughts mate.

Your perspective is well thought out and shows a deep commitment to the SuiNS community. Setting clear and fair eligibility criteria for council members is crucial for ensuring transparency and effectiveness. Your points about prioritizing long-term, active members and avoiding conflicts of interest are particularly valuable. It’s great to see someone who genuinely cares about the project’s future and is willing to contribute constructively. I appreciate your dedication and openness to discussion—these are the kinds of conversations that help shape a stronger community. Keep up the great work! :rocket:

When death stated the $1000 payout, many people came to apply for the position, but before that, they were never seen talking in the group at all, and there were even people who didn’t even think much of NS as a project who applied, what a big joke!

And I would change the criterion regarding holding $NS in hand. It would be better to choose the criterion of how much total $NS he contributed for the last votes.

I am glad to see SuiNS becoming active. It is a good suggestion that candidates need to hold 10,000 NS coins. Maybe the value can be increased because it is very cheap to buy NS now.

I generally agree.
Some adjustments may be needed if accepted.
I think it’s a good idea and I support it.

Thank you mate…
What kind of adjustements do you suggest?

I appreciate your input, we will have a vote after the application deadline.
Then we will analyze and evaluate those teams.

Could I ask additional question- what salary are you expecting to pay Canditates?

If they are going to select people who are focus on SuiNS without other jobs as ambassadors, moderators etc in other project and they are really contribute on SuiNS, I have no problem they be paid quite good.
In this case 1K $ is a logical amount.

I don’t truly agree with all the points. First, we are discussing a Community Council, not a forum moderator job. With this proposed compensation it is not supposed to be a full-time job (at least if you want top-level candidates in 1st world countries to apply) in the areas of BD and governance - otherwise, the hiring process would be and should be different. Therefore not being able to be an ambassador to other projects make no sense since it is not how it was proposed a full-time job for all the team.
